Rhodia in Uruguay
Rhodia was established in Uruguay in 1949. Rhodia has maintained a commercial presence in the country, with an office dedicated to selling Rhodia products to Uruguayan industry.
Rhodia was established in Uruguay in 1949, when it was home to a Rhône-Poulenc laboratory. Since the 1960s, Rhodia has maintained a commercial presence in the country, with an office dedicated to selling Rhodia products to Uruguayan industry. Filter tow, adipic acid, oxygenate solvents, silica, industrial yarns for tires, textile yarns, surfactants for polymerization, engineering plastics and vanillin are the most popular Rhodia products in Uruguay.
The Uruguay office manages several partnerships with local industries to promote and enhance the sales of Rhodia’s Novecare products in Latin America and the export of products to countries including Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, Paraguay and Puerto Rico.
On January 1st 2000, the Rhodia Uruguay S.A. joined the company’s Cone Sul minizone, along with Argentina and Chile.
